In Oklahoma, House Bill 1804 makes it a felony to shelter to transport illegal immigrants, and denies illegals public benefits and drivers licenses...
The bill went into effect Nov. 1, and since then, the economy has been hit hard...
Many illegals and non-illegals who have family members who are illegals have up and left the state...
Sales of grocery stores have dropped, church attendance has dropped, and employers are concerned over finding people to do the jobs vacated by illegals...
This is the one thing I knew we could expect from a knee-jerk reaction to illegal immigration.
We cant just hammer in some strict rules and not think about the economic consequences associated with the issue...
We all need to continue to watch Oklahoma and see how things go there...
